Monday and we've arrived at the start of another week - have a good one!

WARNING: this post is a little picture heavy so, if you've time .. grab a coffee and (hopefully) ENJOY!

I've a make to share with you today .......

My Artist Trading Card, measuring 3½"x2½"

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of leftover card in white and lime green
  • Using a makeup brush I applied Distress Inks in picked raspberry and wilted violet over the entire white snippet, adding Versafine Clair monarch ink just to the outer edges
  • Overlaying my TCW stencil (507s) I added more of the wilted violet ink
  • Using images from my StudioLight set SL341 and Memento gray flannel and Versafine Clair monarch inks I added interest to the outer edges
  • Ditzies Designs "ART" sentiment stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Finally, I used sharpies to "define" the edges on my layers, lime green on my base card and purple to my image panel

And now for a card ..... using a sketch again, I had almost forgotten how much I love a sketch!

My 8" x 6" card

Materials used:
  • White 8" x 6", 300gsm card and matching envelope
  • White card and deep red card, cut to fit and mat
  • Unbranded faux stitched circle die, used to cut my image panel
  • Red sharpie pen used to edge my image panel
  • Aall & Create image (from set #560 - first outing of this image so .. NBUS) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Clearly Besotted sentiment (from "mini calligraphy") stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink
  • I used rose gold (gransai tambi "starry set") and garnet & icicles (twinkling H2O's) to water colour my image
  • Red glitter washi tape

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

  2. NBUS - challenge No. 32 - USE NBUS
  3. Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - challenge No. 567 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Aud Sentiments - challenge No. 287 - CHRISTMAS + A SENTIMENT
  5. Addicted to CAS - challenge No. 210 - CIRCLE

And, whilst I had those fab stamps on acrylic blocks ... an Artist Trading Card!

  • Black sharpie pen used to edge my base and image layers
  • Aall & Create image (from set #560) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Clearly Besotted sentiment (from "mini calligraphy") stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink
  • I used rose gold (gansai tambi "starry set") and garnet & icicles (twinkling H2O's) to water colour my image

Two great ATC's Kathy and love the card with the A & C image used again beautifully on the second ATC and love the wonderful shine from the GT metallics and the red and white H2Os used to colour both so beautifully. Wonderful photos of Cornwall. The weather was sunny part of the time which this time of year is a bonus. The only thing about living in the South Westus that although it is less cold than the South East we do get a lot of grey days when the weather is neither one thing or the other...lol. x
