It's Saturday - THE WEEKEND!

Morning readers,

I've a couple of makes to share with you today ....... the first being an Artist Trading Card

My Artist Trading Card, measuring just 3½" x 2½"

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of leftover card in white and red
  • Using a Tim Holtz mini blender and a makeup brush I applied Adirondack red pepper and purple twilight around the edges - stamp pads I've had for years (and years)
  • Overlaying my Tim Holtz mini stencil (THMS068 - dots - in my collection since 2016) I applied purple twilight before moving to "alternate" the dots with my red pepper ink
  • Hampton Arts sentiment (DF2193 - "Art Soul" - probably 10 years old or maybe even more) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Using Imagination Crafts set (12991 - in my collection since 2017) and Versafine Clair morning mist ink I added a border to the ATC whilst HOPING not to distract from my sentiment

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Love To Craft - challenge No. 63 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Retro Rubber - challenge No. 169 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Lemon Shortbread - challenge No. 156 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. TTCRD - Oct 12th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Crafty Sentiments - Oct 12th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
RRCB 169

And now for the next make ....

My 6" square ONE LAYER CARD

Materials used:
  • White, 300gsm, 6" square card and matching envelope
  • White card, cut to fit, for the insert only as this is a OLC
  • Using low tack tape I masked off my panel for inking before applying Memento bamboo leaves to the panel, using a makeup brush.
  • I added Memento rhubarb stalk around the outer edges of the panel, to symbolise the leaves turning from green, through red to brown, before overlaying my Dylusions leaves stencil and applying Memento potters clay ink, using a makeup brush
  • Lavinia bullrushes image stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Uniko sentiment (from Anniversaire Art Decoratif) stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Simply Less Is More - challenge No. 454 - OLC - AUTUMNAL
  2. Seize The Birthday - challenge No. 225 - USE A STENCIL
  3. Cute Card Thursday - challenge No. 693 - ANYTHING GOES

I love both of your cards, Kathy. THe first is so artful, and I LOVE that sentiment. Your LIM design is fabulous. I love the shape of your masked area, and that stencil, stamp and the colors you've used are perfect for our autumn theme. Thank you, as always, for joining us!

Great makes, Kathy, and I particularly love the gorgeous stenciling on the second card. I find one-layer cards really difficult but you make them beautifully!
Thanks for sharing with us at ATSM.
