Monday and the start of another week

Morning readers,

Hope you all enjoyed a great weekend and, if you got rain (like we did) that it didn't spoil any plans you may have had. Personally, I liked that it cooled down a good 10° on Saturday but I was glad to have done my laundry chores in Friday instead!!!!

I've a make to share with you today ....... since yesterday was July 25th and the day in the month designated as "Rudolph Day" what else would I have been making but Christmas cards???

My C6 card and, below ... the front, back and
inside of my card and the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
  • Card in white and Christmas red, cut to fit and mat
  • Impression Obsession Zenspirations tree (from CL357 "Christmas trees") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Clearly Besotted sentiments (from "Simply Said Christmas") stamped using Versafine Clair tulip red ink
  • Using a makeup brush and a blue Marvy matchables dye ink pad I applied colour through the stars section of my Heidi Swapp stencil, taking card to avoid my stamped image and sentiment
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour my image
  • Mini faux crystals added, for extra bling!

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Scraps of Life - July RUDOLPH DAY challenge - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES
  2. HLS - July stencil challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Make My Monday - challenge No. 153 - TREES
  4. The House That Stamps Built - challenge No. 2121 - CHRISTMAS IN JULY
  5. Krafty Chicks - challenge No. 569 - ALL OCCASIONS

Such a sweet stylised tree Kathy and love the contrasting blue stars and red sentiment which goes with the matted layer..all in all a fab Christmas make. Personally the cooler temps are much better and the rain has not been very heavy so far..hopefully it wil stay that way. x
