It's Wednesday and we've made it to the end of June too ...

Morning readers,

How's your week coming along? We seem to be experiencing a fairly broad selection of weather from heat and sunshine to chills and rain! Never quite sure what to put on each morning! I shouldn't complain though, I really shouldn't!

I've a make to share with you today ....... I made this for a swap but can share it with you as I know the recipient has received it!

My Artist Trading Card - 2½" x 3½"
The background stencilling

Stencilled, stamped and inked image panel and the stamped base layer

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of leftover card in white and Paper Mill intense green
  • Inks used: Adirondack citrus and bottle, Marvy blue, Versafine Clair nocturne
  • Stencils used: Dutchdoobadoo 470.715.129, Creative Expressions CEMStiles, Aall & Create #111
  • Stamped used: StudioLight SL340 and RubberNecker 497-11
  • Tim Holtz "idea-ology" small talk sticker

And I'm plainly in my "green" phase this week as my second make appears to be distinctly greenish too .... albeit much subtler tones

My C6 card
The front/back/inside of my C6 card and the front/back of my envelope
My inked and stencilled layer

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
  • Card in white and textured sage green, cut to fit and mat
  • Using a makeup brush and Distress Ink in bundled sage, I applied colour to one corner of my card front
  • Overlaying my Stamplorations "bubbles" stencil I applied further Distress Ink, this time in iced spruce
  • Penny Black image (from "Allegro") stamped using Ranger Distress Archival black soot ink
  • Clearly Besotted sentiment (from "brushed sentiments") stamped using the Ranger Distress Archival in hickory smoke

Your stencilled backgrounds are always so inventive Kathy and I love the mix on your ATC with a great stencilled base layer too, also the super silhouette thistle, and then the elegant and pretty card with more beautiful silhouette flowers over the stencilled circles in that lovely sage green with a coordinating matted layer..I love it. x
