Welcome to the start of the last week in June!!! Where IS the year going?

Morning readers,

Hope you all had a great weekend, get up to much? We actually visited our fave curry house again, bless them, they have all the Covid compliant malarkey to make you feel comfortable as well as great food! Can't fault it.

I've spent some time at the ToC (that's Table of Craftiness) lately and have a couple of makes to share with you ... the first being this card, deploying a very elderly wood mounted image from Hero Arts - 'bout time it saw some love ... and ink!

My C6 card
The front/back/inside of my C6 card and the front/back of the envelope

The two layers of inking and stencilling on my card

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, C6/A2 card and matching envelope
  • Card in white and black, cut to fit and mat
  • Using makeup brushes I applied Adirondack watermelon ink to the lower left corner before changing brush and applying Adirondack purple twilight to just the outer edge. Adding my Memory Box stencil (88568) I applied further purple ink, to give added "texture" and interest
  • Hero Arts image (H5424 - "Exotic Bloom") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Clearly Besotted sentiment (from "brushed sentiments") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Ellibelle's Crafty Challenge - June challenge - CAS (Clean And Simple)
  2. Addicted to Stamps - challenge No. 408 - BIRTHDAYS
  3. Water Cooler Wednesday - challenge No. 318 - ALL ABOUT OCCASIONS
  4. AAA Birthday - challenge No. 26 - FLOWERS
  5. Stamps & Fun - challenge No. 392 - CAS (Clean And Simple)

And now for my second make of the day .......

My Artist Trading Card, measuring 2½"x3½"
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in white and black
  • Stampers Anonymous bird image (from CMS212 "Bird Crazy") and Uniko sentiment (from Anniversaire Art Decoratif") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour the image and background
  • Using a makeup brush and a Memory Box stencil (88505) I applied Adirondack purple twilight ink through the stencil

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Crafty Creations - challenge No. 422 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. The Paper Shelter - challenge No. 475 - THINGS WITH WINGS
  3. Penny's Paper Crafty - challenge No. 499 - ANYTHING GOES

I've enjoyed some lovely weather whilst out walking this past week and thought I would stop and take this photo .... I'm right in the middle of a modern housing estate .....

The HA silhouette image looks great with that bit of background inking and dotty stencilling Kathy and another cute and quirky ATC with that beautifully colour SA bird, and more interesting background stencilling and a fun sentiment to finish it. That's a wonderful bit of open space as part of a housing estate. We are lucky to have a few open spaces which were included as part of the development where we live too. x

That's a lovely floral image, love how you've popped it in the corner with some soft inking and stencilling to highlight it, love those crazy birds too! Thankyou for playing along at Watercooler Wednesday, Cathy x
