Monday and another week begins ... hope it will be a good one!

Morning readers,

Welcome to Bank Holiday Monday and the weather looks to be almost typical Bank Holiday fashion) rain IS forecast! It was pretty nice for the weekend though, wasn't it? Hope you all got some sunshine and got to top up those vitamin D levels!

I've a make to share with you today ....... I recently dug out my twinkling H2O's and so enjoyed using them that I thought I should use them some more, but then - I came across the Cosmic Shimmer pot of glorious purpleness and I was powerless to resist being sidetracked! The effect is very similar to that of the twinkling H2O's too, such a lovely iridescent sheen

My C6 card
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope
A closer view of the gorgeous shimmer of the water colour

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm card and matching envelope
  • Card in white and black, for my image panel, insert and matting layer
  • Cosmic Shimmer "purple violet" iridescent water colour brushed loosely and set aside to dry
  • Hero Arts F2535 "Artistic Bird of Paradise flower" image stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Clearly Besotted sentiment (from "mini calligraphy") stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist and nocturne inks

My Artist Trading Card - 2½" x 3½"

And a closer view showing the shimmer of the Twinkling H2O's

Love the sparkle on both your card and your ATC Kathy using that pretty purple CS watercolour paint with the beautiful Bird of Paradise silhouette flower, and then the cute butterflies and trailing leaves in more fantastic H2O colour and the black background really makes it pop. x

Oh my goodness - these are just delicious! I have, I think, every colour of H2o and - as always - neglect them so much. You did beautiful work here Katchy! Thanks for the prompt!

Wow, such great inspiration, Kathy! I never thought of just doing a glimmering wash as a background and it looks stunning! And what a great job of cutesie you did with your ATC! You should do it more often! Thank you for sharing your wonderful design with everyone at NBUS! I hope the sunshine has continued since you wrote this post! Hugs, Darnell

I love it when I come across your entries on another challenge. Then when it turns out to be all purpleness well then you top it off with something you've had for years and kept in mint condition! Your cards with matching envelopes always deserve admiration while the ATCs you share as an encore are always wonderful. x

Wie schön, mal wieder einen alten Hero Arts Stempel zu sehen. Die lilafarbige Fläche leuchtet so schön. Eine sehr schöne CAS Karte.
Danke für deine Teilnahme bei creative friday!

And a translation for Sidan's comment .....

How nice to see an old Hero Arts stamp again. The purple surface shines so beautifully. A very nice CAS card.
