Monday, look out there's another week ahead, have a good one!

Morning readers,

Not sure what sort of weather you might have had over the weekend but we experienced ..... SUNSHINE! SO very nice to see, made our morning walks so much pleasanter and I even managed to line dry sheets and towels - YAY! Hope you made the most of it if you had something similar too.

I've a make to share with you today ....... a masculine card, quick whilst I'm in the mood. I've made a couple in the past week or so and thought I should strike again with another ... whilst I had the ideas in my head - they're all too fleeting!

My card - Clean, Simple and monochrome - a winning combo for a guy!

And a closer view to show the stencilling in better detail
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, 6" x 6" card and matching envelope
  • Card in white, black and grey, cut to fit and mat
  • Clearly Besotted sentiment (from CBSM1012 "mini calligraphy") stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink
  • Stampers Anonymous car image (from THJ004 "Getting There") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Using a makeup brush and Memento gray flannel ink I applied my colour through the That's Crafty dinky stencil (tc001)

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Country View Crafts - March challenge - SILHOUETTES
  2. Make My Monday - challenge No. 143 - MASCULINE
  3. Time Out Challenges - challenge No. 182 - BIRTHDAY (7th birthday celebration)
  4. The Paper Shelter - challenge No. 459 - FOR THE BOYS
  5. CCEE Stampers - challenge No. 2109 - OLD STUFF DAY (combine the use of something OLD ... my S.A. image, from 2015, with something NEW .... my Clearly Besotted sentiment set, from 2021)

And now for another ATC ... I've been making a lot of these lately and you might wonder why! Every now and again I realise that my box of snippets is filling with tiny, hardly useable bits of card in white (a LOT of white) and miscellaneous other colours .... an ATC is a terrific way to use some of them up - this ATC uses white, pink AND black - so I'm calling that a result! The other reason for my recent "flurry" of ATC's is that I swap multiple ATC's with several people and my stock had run perilously low but ... no more! I have over a dozen in stock right now - YAY!
My Artist Trading Card

You may be able to make out the shimmer and also the cloud stencilling

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of leftover card in: white, black and textured (DCWV) hot pink
  • Full cover post-it - for my mask
  • Katzelkraft giraffe image (from KTZ168) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink, including on to a post it which I fussy cut out to use as a mask
  • Chapel Road sentiment (from "Vertical Greetings A") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • With my mask in place and using Aldi stencil brushes I lightly brushed Memento Bahama Blue over my white panel before adding the Clearly Besotted stencil (CBTCL349 "Cloudy Day") and brushing Memento gray flannel ink, for my clouds - trust me, it shows up better IRL!
  • Having removed my mask I used Arteza watercolour brush pens to colour my giraffe and adding water "contaminataed" with icicle twinkling H2O gave my colouring a distinct shimmer!
  • Gold Glitter self adhesive "droplets" added across the bottom of my ATC, to give it further sparkle though I realise this MAY just push this make in to the "LARGE" letter rate when it comes to posting!

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. HLS - March water colour challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Through The Craft Room Door - Mar 2nd challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Lost Coast Portal to Creativity - March challenge - MINI ME (Anything smaller than a card)
  4. CRAFT - challenge No. 589 - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Gem of a Challenge - challenge No. 5 - ANYTHING GOES

Some of my regular visitors will know that I have been walking daily, as part of a dietary and lifestyle change for my health. Some of you will have seen that I've shared numerous photos as I walk about my local area, hopefully getting fitter (and thinner, though the thinner bit's not happening as fast as I might like!). Recently, I took a walk around our local park and ride where, currently, we have a team of goats keeping the area tidy whilst the parking lot is not in use ..... I believe that, at one point, there have been over a dozen but, on the day we visited only this one was brave enough to show its face!

The black and white card image is great for this masculine card Kathy and love the soft grey brick stencilling in the background, and who could resist that cute and quirty giraffe and love the hanging sentiment which suits it perfectly and love the soft blue cloudy sky and so bright and pretty on the hot pink. Glad you still doing our morning walks and it has been lovely and bright the last few days albeit rather nippy. I love the photo of your lone goat..so sweet. x
