A Little Notebook With Butterflies

I am fascinated by using junk for new projects. And today I have learnt that the right word for it is "upcycling". When I write it, my computer tells me: that word doesn't exist. It will have me to write "recycling". So we are going to have some fights about that word, my computer and I, also in future. I will continue my upcycling.

For this little notebook I used a toilet roll for the outside and some coloured papers / patterned paper (brand: Sigel) for the sheets. The outside is decorated with a butterfly napkin. On some of the pages I stenciled a tiny butterfly. And a butterfly made by a die form Studio Light is hanging on the yarn. To keep the notebook closed, I fastened a blue rubber band to the front.

  2. Another lovely upcycled project. Hard to believe that this started out as a toilet roll! I like the butterfly napkin that you used and a great idea to take the butterfly theme through to the inner pages.
