Hot Drinks! @ Little Red Wagon

 This week at

it's Imke's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Hot Drinks!".....and I think you can all guess what she wants to see on your projects.

This is what I did......

Did some paper piecing with this digi from Bugaboo Stamps.  And I was able to just colour the drink right on the patterned paper, no problem, which was a bonus.

Listen up, my friends.....well, my friends who are within the vicinity of a Tim Hortons anways.....do you want to hear about my new favourite hot drink?  Heck, why hear about it when you can try it!  Step 1: Go to a Tim Hortons.  Step 2: Order a medium white hot chocolate with a chai tea bag in it.  Step 3: Stop looking at me like I'm insane.  Step 4: Drink your drink and be prepared to have your mind blown.

Okay, I may be overselling the taste with the "mind blown" statement.  It's really, really good but not mind blowing on the taste alone.  It's mind blowing because you are probably all thinking that it sounds gross.  Like wtf, gross.  Believe me, anyone I've convinced to give it a try has responded in with the almost exact word-for-word phrase: "Oh.  That's good."  One tip though, don't get a small size or there will be too much chai taste and not enough white hot chocolate taste.  Splurge for the medium.  Or, go for the extra large if you want.....but not the large as the same sizing principle will apply since they'll use two tea bags for large teas.  I mean, go for the extra large if you want to be drinking that thing all day, that is.  Small children can bathe in the extra large Tim Hortons cups, I think.

Why not give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up?  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

  2. Hmmm, interesting combination, ever wonder how one would come up with that. But I do love hot chocolate (never had a white, but can't imagine not loving it) and I love chai tea, so I would definitely give it a try with your recommendation. Your card is darling, love this image, especially now that I know what is in the mug.

  5. No Tim Horton's near me, but I'll take your word for it. And really, it sounds good – spice and hot chocolate go together, so why not?! The card is super cute. Love the paper piecing and the paper choices. And I really like your sentiment. I tried to enlarge the image so I could see, but I can't tell what you used. What are these? I really like the look. Hope all is well on your side of the pond! Super cold over here right now. Hugs!!!

  14. Hmmmmmm I live a 1 minute walk from a Timmies - but...I don't like white chocolate - wonder if it would be good with regular old hot chocolate? I am sure it would be, I like hot chocolate and chai tea - thanks for the tip!

  15. Awesome card! The letter tiles are fabulous!

I just heard about the white hot chocolate/chai teabag from somebody at work - and promptly forgot about it even though I do think it sounds fabulous. Hopefully, now that I've heard it a second time, I'll remember to give it a go!

Okay, so ever since I started my blog (well, maybe not right from the get-go, it was probably a good six months or so before I realized you could change it from just "Leave your comment") I've tried to come up with something witty to type here.

*sitting with brow furrowed in concentration*...*staring at the ceiling while pursing lips*...*resting with head on hand while tapping foot*...

Nope, I still got nothing.
