Wednesday, which means it's half way through another week in lockdown 3.0

Morning readers,

Here we are again, half way through the week and, NORMALLY, our thoughts would be turning to the plans for the weekend. Not so at present though, is it? No plans because we're not allowed to go any place! I DO however, have hubby's birthday looming so ..... at least it's something to look forward to, even if we can't go out for a meal or meet up with friends to celebrate. Our plans for the occasion? A takeout from a fave location followed by a virtual bevy with friends .... via a video chat! Woo Hoo .. so VERY rock and roll!

And now for something entirely unexpected from me, yet another Christmas card! What can I say? I seem to so enjoy making them that I am POWERLESS to resist, at this rate, I'll be working on my cards for 2022 ... by MARCH!

My card
And a closer view of my image

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White, 250gsm, 6" x 6" card and matching envelope
  • Cardstock in white, Christmas red, pearlised gold - all cut to fit and mat
  • Penny Black image (from "Winter Wonderland") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour image
  • Mod Podge and Glamour dust to add sparkle to the grounding and fur trim on the Santa hat - been ages since I used loose glitter but ... most of my stickles have dried up so I've chucked the lot of them!
  • Clearly Besotted sentiment (from "Simply Said") stamped using Versafine Clair tulip red ink - this stamp set has never been inked so is NBUS!

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. NBUS - challenge No. 23 - USE NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff)
  2. Merry Little Christmas Challenge - challenge No. 31 - ANYTHING (Christmas GOES
  3. Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - challenge No. 528 - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES
  4. Jingle Belles - Feb 5th challenge - MORE COLORFUL CHRISTMAS
  5. Holly and Ivy - challenge No. 87 - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES

I've another make to share with you today ....... this time an ATC, made for a themed swap. The theme? Cute and/or cuddly ... I kind of think this image is both!
My Artist Trading Card

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of leftover card in Kraft and white
  • Inkadinkado giraffe image and Imagine That sentiment (from "You Rock") stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink - I haven't used either the image or sentiment in YEARS so it was high time they both saw some ink!
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour image and background
  • Kaisercraft neon gel pen (blue) used to trace the "YOU" and Faber Castell Pitt pen used to doodle the border

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

I just adore that little robin - terrific Christmas card. Fab how you've made a small image the focal point. Very clever.

Agreed! The ATC is very cute!

Have a good day. Still got icy snow hanging around . . . and apparently a fresh lot due this afternoon! Wahoo (not!).

Happy midweek! xxx

I love the little robin and couldn't think that he would be NBUS when I spied it in the gallery! It's such a sweet card. Love the giraffe ATC too.

I love your sweet little bird with his santa hat with lots of glitter on the fur, and love the gold glitter card with the red background which looks wonderful, and then your beautifully coloured cute giraffe ATC and the doodled edges look great. x
