Morning readers,
Hope you enjoyed your weekend and weren't too adversely affected by the awful floods of last week or the snow of the past couple of days. We woke up to SNOW yesterday morning - I know many of you have had snow in the past week but ... we were late to the party! No walking for me till it's gone!
I've a make to share with you today ....... the 25th day of each month is designated "Rudolph Day" and is designed to encourage us card makers to produce at least one Christmas card/project each month ..... so we have less to make come November. Me? Well, I haven't really stopped making Christmas cards and probably have about enough already - not that I'm letting that stop me!
Materials used:
- Kraft 4" x 4", 300gsm card and matching sized envelope
- Two pieces of Kraft card cut to fit
- Paper Artsy Santa image (from ZA33) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
- For the envelope and insert I stamped the Uniko sentiment (from "Christmas wishes") using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
- Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour my image
- Dutchdoobadoo "fading circles #4" stencil placed over my image panel and, using a makeup brush and Distress Oxide in antique linen I added my "snow" effect. I doubled up on my stencilling as snow doesn't fall in regimented lines!!! OK ..... so, the truth is that I let my stencil slip but ...... I liked it so I did it some more!
- Anita's dimensional gloss for Santa's glasses and Unicorn stickles to accentuate the fur trim
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
- HLS Christmas Challenge - January challenge - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES + (optional) STOCKINGS
- Fezziwigs Festive Frolics - Jan 20th challenge - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES
- Aud Sentiments - challenge No. 266 - ANYTHING GOES
- Scraps of Life - Rudolph Day challenge - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES
- Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - challenge No. 526 - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES + (optional) NO SENTIMENT

And now, a masculine card - I seem to be on a bit of a masculine card making kick right now ... and (since my card blanks are a fab quality and weight) another One Layer Card - perfect to post abroad! I added some splatters to add some interest too - been too long since I splattered!
Materials used:
- White, 300gsm, 6" x 6" card and matching envelope
- Motorbike image (unmounted rubber, I've had it so long that I have NO IDEA who the manufacturer might be) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
- TCP sentiment (from S.5845.CL) stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink
- Using a makeup brush and my Funky Fossils "textures" stencil I applied Memento Paris dusk ink randomly through the honeycomb section
- Paper Artsy splatter (from HPXT01) stamped using Memento ladybug ink
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
- Watercooler Wednesday - challenge No. 305 - MASCULINE
- Krafty Chicks - challenge No. 543 - CAS (Clean And Simple)
- Simply Less Is More - challenge No. 435 - ALL IN A ROW - here's hoping my two motorbikes qualify as "a row"
- Creative Moments - challenge No. 207 - ANYTHING GOES
- Gem of a Challenge - challenge No. 2 - ANYTHING GOES

That is a strange little image but it is rather a cute card. It is nice to see something a bit different. Kate x
One can never have enough masculine cards on hand, or Christmas for that matter. I like the stencil you used and splatters are a great finishing touch.
Thank you for playing along with us over at Krafty Chicks Challenge.

Two great cards, Kathy. I especially love the Christmas card, what a great Santa. xx
What a fun santa card! I love the kraft background and how you decorated the front, back and inside! Thank you so much for sharing with the first 2021 Rudolph Days Challenge! Our snow melted today. :)

Wonderful card designs. I really like your cute Santa one.
I love the look of the snow but you are right to stay home and not risk a tumble Kathy. We had some but luckily it was only on the ground for several hours and then it melted and later on we had some very wet snow which didn't really settle at all, so that was good. I love your quirky Santa with background dotty snow and some sparkly stickles on his fur trim and the glossy accents on his glasses..great finishing touches. The two motorcyclists are great for a masculine card and love the purple hexagon stencilling and then the pop of red for the stencilled splatters. x
Moving onto your second card I love that biker stamp! A very masculine card hope those splatters are not a sign of an oil leak! :-) x
Oh both your cards are super. Im loving the biker one. What great makes. Snow has missed us aa usual!! Thanks for sharing with me over on Fezziwigs, stay safe, Hazel xx
Great card - love the kraft background.

Snow is lovely but not when it turns into lethal ice!! Ours is gone now though and no bones broken ;)
Your two cards are fab. The santa is cute and I love those sentiments from Uniko but it's your masculine make that has really caught my eye today. The black and white image with the coloured stencil and splattered background is so effective! Vicky x
Fabulous creation! Thanks for joining us for Week 2 at Gem of a Challenge!
No snow for us up here thank goodness although we do have some forecast for next week. I shall be staying in where it's warm and cosy, I don't do cold.
Your cards are fab as always. I love your santa one and the bikes are perfect for our challenge at Less is More. Thanks for sharing with us,
Lynne x
Your quirky Santa is a keeper and you have made him up into a cute card. As always, I LOVE the finished inside and the envelope too.
Thanks for taking part in the first Rudolph Days Challenge of this year.
Your whimsical Santa has planted a smile all over my face; what a cutie! Thank you for sharing this gem in the HLS CAS Challenge gallery!

I would have liked to wake up and find my garden as snowy as yours, Kathy ! We just have to cope with rain and floods. Anyway, love your masculine One Layer card for our challenge, and yes your two motorcycles make a perfect row, we can easily imagine all the other ones arriving behind !(Believe me I live where the 24 hours motorcycle race takes place !). Thanks so much for sharing and for playing along at Less is More.
So good to see a Christmas card this early in the year! Lovely stamps.
Thank you for joining Creative Moments!
Hugs from Africa!
