Morning readers,
Not entirely sure why I said "another weekend, YAY!" After all, it's not like many of us are able to make plans or even meet people! I HOPE you are all staying safe and well at home, together we can beat this!
Bit of a crisis at the Purple Palace this week ... Mr K stepped in to the shower earlier in the week and ..... I'll just say that his shower was not the pleasantest experience .. cue sympathy from me and a fair bit of planning for some plumbing works and a new shower pump - arrggghh. Now, my dear husband is a VERY capable D-I-Y-er but plumbing is his least favourite element so, fair play to him for his can do attitude. I'm thankful to report the successful conclusion of plumbing works and order has once again been restored at the Purple Palace - I celebrated with a three mile walk .. (which I missed the day before, on the grounds I couldn't shower when I got home - eeeuuuwwww!) and a SHOWER!
Whilst works were under way and I was banned from the room where my 'puter is (because it also houses the airing cupboard and the home of the shower pump) I managed a fair bit of quality time at the ToC (that's Table of Craftiness)!!!
I've a make to share with you today ....... yep, it's a Christmas card too - what can I say, I ENJOY making Christmas cards. And, actually, this would so not have worked on my "usual" C6 card so I'm delighted to have made myself use the 6" x 6" format.
I've a make to share with you today ....... yep, it's a Christmas card too - what can I say, I ENJOY making Christmas cards. And, actually, this would so not have worked on my "usual" C6 card so I'm delighted to have made myself use the 6" x 6" format.
Materials used:
- White 300gsm, 6" x 6" card and matching sized envelope
- One piece each of Kraft, white and red card cut to fit
- One piece of black card, cut to mat
- StudioLight images from SL470 stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne and tulip red inks
- Paper Artsy image (from ZA33) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
- Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour my image

And now, another Christmas make, what can I say? As soon as I saw the LIM theme this time around it just HAD to be done!! And, since my card blanks are such great quality, I VOLUNTARILY made this a One Layer Card!!!!! You don't often see that!
Materials used:
- 300gsm, 6" x 6", white card and matching envelope
- Penny Black image (2742-K "Xmas Hat") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink

Two fab Christmas makes here Kathy. Love square cards. Great stamping and stencilling. Xxx
Love your carol singers and kittens in a row Kathy. I nearly used a penny black Xmas stamp for the LIM, but ended up using something completely different. However I think I need to play with the penny black now, as yours is so cute xxx
What a delightful pair of cards, Kathy and as usual, I love how you go the extra mile to produce beauty of the inside, back and envelope, making the whole card a special experience.
Glad to hear your shower is up and running again.
Thanks for sharing with us at Addicted to Stamps and More.

Two great Christmas cards, Kathy ! Both are adorable and at the same time so different. Love this row of little Carol singers, so whimsical.
