We are back in Northbridge with our dear host, Grace and her Hubby, celebrating Chinese New Year 2019.
I clearly found Moritz:
... but Max? After all it´s Max AND Moritz, right?
Sadly again I have no hint on the artist as we were just passing by... But I can show you how they look like!
And since Henry 🦁 made a guest-appearance last Monday and was "nearly missed" he now decided to join Sami every Monday!

Yeah where is Max? I read that book about 55 years ago. The first book I read in German. But I don't remember it good enough to understand why this is Max und Moritz. I like the statue better
I have NO idea what the reference is, but I sure LOVE the mural. Great take on Henry, too.
Bertiebo, I read it, too, and now my Nieces do :-)

Elizabeth, I don´t think "this" Moritz it even is... it just came to my German mind to miss Max in this context, as I grew up with those two.
I had a friend whose fuzzy winter boots were named Max und Moritz after the famous pair. (His big Russian hat was named Pushkin.) I think the M*M books have been translated into English, but they aren't as well-known here.
be well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Tempting to name shoes like that!
Oh, I didn´t know the book was translated to English!
Would be interesting, as his stories are written in rhymes.
Good mural!
The Max & Moritz sculpture is cute.
awesome mural and enjoyed seeing Max and Moritz too Happy Monday
...I don't think that Max and Moritz has made it to my neck of the woods.
Yes, several English translations are available on amazon.com, including a couple of bilingual versions!

Hello Iris,
I love the mural and the Max and Moritz sculpture is cute.
Take care, enjoy your day! Wishing you a happy new week!
Me parece una buena aportación. Bien has aprovechado tu viaje con ese hallazgo del Mural y esa hermosa escultura.
Seguro que has regresado con la tarjeta de la cámara repleta de fotografías.
Que tengas una buena semana.
Cool mural. I didn't know the reference to Max and Moritz so had to go look it up. Found a translation of the stories. What hellions! 😺 The road sign is awesome Regal Henry outlined with the castle.
Beautiful murals.
This looks like a Martin E Wills mural Iris.
Like the Max and Mouritz statues, very cute and Henry too :)
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals.
What fun! This is such a cheery mural!
Mae, cool. I grew up 8 km away from his place.

William, thanks.

Teresa, really? Hmmm... The originals looks better - but who cares, time has gone by and they need to be hip today!

Oh, am I thankful for google translate!
Oh so often I could´ve used Spanish, yet they didn´t offer it at school, I learned French instead and it´s too close to Spanish for me. I got but the last sentence and wish you a great week , also. And yes... TONS of pics!

CJ, hellions! Yay, a new, cool word learned - goes for girls as well, I reckon? Aka little Niece...

Bill, we do!
I haven't heard of them so will have to look them up! Like the mural and the sculpture.
They are bad boys!
I am with Elizabeth, I don't know the reference but I do love the mural. Be safe over there.
They´re two very nasty boys and it´s written in rhymes.
Your Max and Moritz look a little more 'together' than Martin E Wills deconstructed version Iris 😁😁
