It's Wednesday again and, as we roll towards Christmas .....

Morning readers,

I've a Christmas make to share with you today ....... still trying to give some old stash their share of ink! This image always makes me smile ... must remember NOT to leave mince pies our for Santa this Christmas ... doesn't look like he needs them!

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • Kraft 4" x 4", 300gsm card and matching sized envelope
  • Kraft card cut to fit, for the insert
  • All Night Media ("Squeezin's Greetings 290F - very, VERY elderly ... pre 2010) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Elsewhere on the card I used the StudioLight sentiment (from SL470) also stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos and Kaisercraft gel glitter pens used to colour image
  • Unicorn stickles used to bling up my card

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. The Holly and Ivy - challenge No. 81 - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES
  2. Love To Craft - October challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - challenge No. 512 - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES + Optional theme ADD A FLOWER
  4. Through The Craft Room Door - October 20th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Tuesday Throwdown - challenge No. 468 - FUNNY SENTIMENT
And now for an Artist Trading Card, I do love the scale of these makes and they're perfect for using up some of those pesky leftover snippets of card too.

My Artist Trading Card

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of leftover card in white, turquoise and navy
  • On the white snippet, using a makeup brush, I applied Distress Ink in spiced marmalade, I then added the Memory Box "grid" stencil (88517) and added more spiced marmalade
  • Kaisercraft "script" and StudioLight triangle image (from SL340) stamped using Memento grey flannel ink, stamped off once to give a lighter impression
  • Penny Black floral image (from "Allegro") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Crafters Companion "Spray and Shine" applied to my inked panel in sufficient quantity to give a gloss finish (which made it tricky to photograph, as it happens!) and also to protect my water based inks in transit
  • Unicorn stickles applied to give twinkle to the focal image
  • Nuvo glitter pen used to doodle the dots in opposite corners

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:
  1. Pixie's Crafty Workshop - challenge No. 389 - USE SNIPPETS
  2. Pammie's Inky Pinkies - challenge No. 2042 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Simon Says Stamp - Monday challenge - ANYTHING BUT A CARD ... it's an ATC rather than a greeting card
  4. Crafty Sentiments - October 20th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Lemon Shortbread - challenge No. 131 - ANYTHING GOES

Autumn is well and truly here ... whilst out for my ongoing daily walks I see the most splendid array of autumnal colour, along with wildlife - on the morning in question, I saw moorhens and jays!

I adore your fun Santa and sentiment Kathy, and some lovely sparkle on his outfit, and then the pretty ATC with the silhouette flowers and love the graph stencil in the background with the added softly stamped script and triangular image, and then matted on to turquoise and a navy base card looks great, some lovely Nuvo drops on two corners to finish too. Glad you are still managing to get your morning walk in...great photos. x

I'm with you, Kathy. If I could tell a new cardmaker, use little what you have thoroughly and as many different ways as you can think up, it may surprise you. I have way too much. Your make is fab, love all the creativity you put into it. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Love to Craft Challenge #51 and we hope you play with us again! XXO, Aimeslee DT
