What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.

Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.

I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –

The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.

Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a post on their blogs.

Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.

If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

Colour INKspiration 185

I'm just a few hours behind everyone in getting my card uploaded.

I have been flat out again at work and with my kids sporting commitments but I was able to whip up this card for the challenge this fortnight. I thought I had better get onto it as I am on the roster for commenting on everyone's beautiful cards! 

I have really been loving all the arches and the matching stampsets that I thought I would make another card using our challenge colours.

If you look closely you will see a stamped confetti image on the background of the card that has been clear embossed.

These two challenges work together quite well as I did make a card that was Spring (flower) and has shimmer (although it is hard to photograph)

Adding wink of stella as the shimmer on the flowers and I love that it has a spring feel to the card.

Adding dimension to the white top panel makes this card look 3D.

This card is one of the cards my class ladies will be making at the next class.

Colour INKspiration 183

Better late than never......

So, it's been a really crappy couple of weeks in our household!

We have had 3 deaths (including my husband's beautiful nana) and we were really let down by our local basketball association.... the association that we have given to (volunteering) for the past few years. (and it hurt my 12-year-old son the most which has been the hardest part)

Anyway, as they say one door closes and another door opens, my son has been offered a spot back playing footy for his old club. 

I believe in what goes around comes around.........

Anyway, one of our gorgeous families that has stuck by us has been so wonderful in getting my son to some of his basketball domestic games/ trainings and they have just been, well awesome! Very Loyal! I decided to make this card for them to show how much I really appreciate them and everything they have done for us!

Paper Craft Crew #PCC610

This challenge is Case the Mini Catty with a Twist... 

So I actually made this card for my class last night and it looked very similar to the card that is on the top left of page 58... my twist is that I added another layer and turned it into a Diagonal Tri- Fold Card.

I am loving this new bundle that will be an online exclusive next month. (March 2025)

I love it so much that I made the same card in another colour. 

There's so many possibilities with this set!

One of my work buddies is leaving us on Friday which I am so sad about as she is an awesome support worker but she has been offered an awesome job, school hours with school holidays off! She would be an asset to any employer and she will be sorely missed by our participants and staff (Especially Me!).

Some people would argue that Summer Splash is a green but I think it is closer to an Aqua Blue.

Its valentines day tomorrow so I made my hubby a quick card.

I think this bee set is one of the cutest sets available in the catalogue.

Colour INKspiration 181

One of my favourite colours is Blue and these are just gorgeous!

So I still went with a beach style theme....

Using the saleabration set Friendly seagulls (available only till the end of this month!) I made this card. I had the idea to put a bit of a funny card into this card challenge using a line from finding nemo where there is food and the seagulls all say "mine" mine" mine" If you haven't seen the movie I suggest you do.

The background was made with the die cuts from the Hot Air Balloon Dies as a mask and the 4 different shades of blue blended over the top with blending brushes. The seagulls were stamped onto the background as well as onto white cardstock, fussy cut out and glued onto the background. Its a simple but effective card.

Fab N Funky Challenges #609

 

I was just checking out some new challenges online and came across this gorgeous one!

The Challenge on this page at the moment is include a Stamped Image, it can be a "real" stamp or a digital one but there must be an image not just a sentiment. Perfect I have just made a card for my work "besties" daughter who has just turned two! 

It is super cute and simple but the colours were so gorgeous together and she loved it!
