It's the first Monday in MAY!!!

Morning readers,

First Monday in May and where IS the year going? I don't know about you but I'm guessing that many of us will NOT be sorry to see the end of 2020 when the time comes! Am I right? Right now, I'm just holding out for the end to lockdown BUT not before it's safe to do so ... I'd rather stay home a little longer to ensure no second wave of this blimming virus. I don't like to think about how the "new normal" is going to look different to the "old normal" but .... we'll adapt, there's simply no alternative - stay safe everyone.

I've a make to share with you today .... this went off to a pal and I happen to know it's been received so I can share it with you today.

My Artist Trading Card

A closer look at the inking and stencilling

Materials used:

• ATC blank
• Snippets of leftover card in black and white
• On the white snippet (and using a makeup brush) I applied Distress Ink in picked raspberry and candied apple. I then placed my Dutchdoobadoo stencil (470.715.120) before applying Distress Ink in wilted violet 
• StudioLight film edge and circles images (from SL408) stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist  and Memento grey flannel inks, and the sentiment from the same set using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
• Magenta "foliage" (23640-H) stamped using Memento Paris dusk ink
• White Signo Uniball gel pen used to scribble a border on the black matting layer

And a little card to accompany it ..... sadly, I forgot to photograph the usual inside/reverse and envelope before mailing it

Materials used:

• Cream card blank cut from A4 (300gsm) to make a card 90mm x 135mm and with a matching sized envelope
• Two pieces of cream card cut to fit
• One piece of black card, cut to mat
• Distress Ink in wild honey applied to the cream panel, using a makeup brush. Tea Dye then added around the outer edges
• Tim Holtz stencil placed over my inky panel and tea dye stencilled
• Distress Ink ground espresso added to the corners and outer edges
• Imagination Crafts images stamped using Memento rich cocoa ink
• TCP sentiment (from S.5845.CL) stamped using Versafine nocturne ink
