Mix 'Em Up! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's me being late! Yep, with being laid off from my full time job (luckily I still have my two part time jobs) and being home all the time, I forgot what day it was! Fellow Girlfriend, Kate, got the Linky up on the LRW site for me - thanks, Kate!! Anyhoo, the challenge this week is "Mix 'Em Up!" which just means that I want to see projects using more the one companies product. Here, I'll show you what I mean....

I used a digi from A Day For Daisies (now closed :( ) with patterned paper from My Mind's Eye and bling from Kaiser Scrapbook. Really, I could go on too and say that the sentiment is computer generated, white paper is Recollections, cardstock is Bazzil and it's coloured with Prismacolor pencils.  See, it's a super-duper easy challenge. Practically an "anything goes" challenge, I'm thinking.

I thought the sentiment was fitting for our current global state of affairs.  Though, the image, not so much in my case.  If I had that many butterflies close to me I'd run off practically screaming.  To me butterflies are beautiful on paper only.  Irl, I'm sure they have hatched a complex plot to do me harm.  My daughter used to laugh when I said that until she witnessed my walking across the lawn one day dodging those small white ones as they few at my face.  And, don't even get me started on how evil moths are.....

Why don't you give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up?  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the fabulous projects the other Girlfriends have created.

  1. Hihihihihihi...you crack me up, girl!!! We all have our phobias. I have a friend who can't stand worms. She won't garden because of that. As to the card, super duper cute! Love everything about it...the image, paper and sentiment! And I especially like the paper 'flowers/grass' you placed beneath her feet. Brillant idea that!

I hate that you were laid off your FT job (well, if you're down about that, maybe you're not?), but knowing you, I know you're not sitting around the house twiddling your thumbs. And really, don't two PT jobs count as one FT one? I'd vote yes.

  7. What a fabulous combination of crafting goodies to create your pretty card! I especially like the way the wings pop from the page.

That's funny about you and butterflies. I'm fine with most bugs and insects. However, earwigs are a different story altogether!!

  10. This is such a sweet card and with so many wonderful wings. I was told that in some Asian cultures, moths represent souls of loved ones we have lost. I am always kinda freaked out by the very large black ones we have here. Thanks for the fun challenge!

Okay, so ever since I started my blog (well, maybe not right from the get-go, it was probably a good six months or so before I realized you could change it from just "Leave your comment") I've tried to come up with something witty to type here.

*sitting with brow furrowed in concentration*...*staring at the ceiling while pursing lips*...*resting with head on hand while tapping foot*...

Nope, I still got nothing.
