Hope
your day is wonderful!
Hello Friends! Hope you are doing well, staying healthy and safe indoors! For those of you in the UK, I hope that you can find ways to celebrate your special Mum's Day/Mother's Day/ today! :)
We are doing OK here in Colorado, USA, so far, thankfully. My school
aged kids are getting bored. Even though we stay busy now with homeschooling (as they are still responsible for
academics with e-learning). I'm like a guiding tutor.
Yikes. Wish me luck for recalling my learning years and some patience. Ha! Still feeling so blessed in a non-stop household!
I do manage to sneak away to craft and that’s been really fun, so yay for me! Hope you are also finding time to craft and adjusting to the circumstances to help you keep calm
during these trying times.
Sending you all cyber {{hugs}}. 😊
Now on to my card; It is shimmery with lots of depth and several layers. I've used some fabulous older collections of cutting dies by Sue Wilson, for Creative Expressions. SW is ONE of my absolute favorite die designers on the market.
TIP 1
I’ve used
a wax paper roll for the flowers!
This gives the flowers a softer, more delicate look and was crumbles so much better than vellum. There are many variations of wax papers and brands out there but I get mine from the $1 store for crafting. The bonus doing is that you can mess up lots because it's a whole roll! So keep on trying.
TIP 2
Heavy Golden Gift Wrapping Paper
I've die-cut
both the background and top panels out of the wrapping paper that was backed by adhesive and card-stock for stability. The background die-cut leafy frame was then cut into 4 sections to extend/enlarge the leafy design. I used the same die for the front panel to continue to design, and left it as a single layer.
These are just ideas I wanted to try and both types proved to cut beautifully with the Dies!
I have included link to shops still carrying these items;
Noble Dies Collection; Ornate Pierced Rectangles

Frames and Tags Collection Leafy Frame

Finishing Touches Collection Orange Blossom

Mini Expressions Collection; “Hope your day is wonderful”

Other Products;
Self adhesive gold gems, Black & cream card-stock, Satin Ribbon, Glitter, Wax paper & Gold wrapping paper.
