Saturday and the weekend is in full swing

Morning readers

I've a make to share with you today .... since it's far too wet and wild to want to venture forth! Stay safe in Storm Dennis readers.

My card
And a closer view of the image panel

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • One piece of navy card, cut to mat
  • Snippet of card from which I cut out a strip - to use as a mask for my card
  • With my mask held in place with washi tape I used Aldi stencil brushes to apply Memento grey flannel and Ranger Archival cobalt blue inks, for the sky, adding my Clearly Besotted cityscape stencil before adding a skyline with Memento tuxedo black ink
  • After removing the mask I stamped the MFT sentiment (from CS-274 "Anything but basic birthday") using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Rubber Stamps of America plane image stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink, stamping a second time without re-inking

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Cute Card Thursday - challenge No. 621 - CAS (Clean And Simple)
  2. Simply Less Is More - challenge No. 413 - MORE ... but still CAS
  3. Seize The Birthday - challenge No. 183 - SHOW US YOUR WHITE SPACE
  4. Perfectly CAS - challenge No. 6 - SHAPES - hope the skyline count as SHAPES

And now for an Artist Trading Card - made for a swap theme of KEYS ......

My Artist Trading Coin
Materials used:
  • Snippets of card in white and red
  • Nesting circle dies to cut the 2½" red circle and 2¼" white circle
  • On the white snippet I stamped the round image (from Paper Artsy ESA05) using Memento London fog ink and the "washi tape" image (from the same set) using Memento Paris dusk ink
  • CardzTV sentiment (from "Just Saying") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Honey Bee small hearts stamped using Versafine Clair tulip red ink
  • On the red snippet I stamped the sketchy circle (from Paper Artsy ESA01) using the London fog ink
  • Once assembled I used a hot glue gun to adhere the small key embellishment in to place

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Polkadoodles - challenge No. 7 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. CardzTV - challenge No. 108 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Creative Friday - challenge No. 249 - HEARTS/VALENTINE - I went with the heart element rather than strictly valentines

I really love your masked border with the citiscape and the two planes one behind the other as though they are following one another in to land, and a great sentiment too Kathy. Your ATCoin which you have swapped is beautifully done too and love the key embellishment. x

Flipping heck, I hope those planes landed safely . . . they seem close together! LOL! Great masculine card.

Fab little ATC on the key theme too.

Hope no storm damage for you. Raging storm through the night . . . a little calmer at present, but very wet! All well here.

Hugs, Sarn xxx

Even on this minimal surface the cityscape and the airplanes come out very well! I love the colors you used for the stenciling, they give the picture a fascinating look!
...and I really like your coin too!
