Our Planet?

I took this mural ages ago here in Braunschweig, somewhere near river Oker - no artist, as usual.
No idea what to read into this, do you have an idea?

Is it...

... about what we dump into our toilets?
Like some get rid off old pills and tablets this way?

... diapers and stuff, "feeding" those who (have to) live in the water?

Or am I too negative now?

Maybe this pirate just stops for a while to have a brekkie?

And maybe it´s about nothing, just to keep this fella company?

What do you think?

Taking part again in Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.

I'll have to take your interpretation Iris, sometimes it's quite difficult to figure out what the artist wants to convey.
Thanks for participating :)

Oh, I would be open to a more joyful interpretation, Sami! Thank you for hosting!

I have to admit I don't get it, Iris. Glad you came up with SOME interpretation. For me, all I saw was what looked like a skeleton and monsters looking through port holes. At least it's a mural, so that IS something.

You find the most obscure meanings in the most unusual murals!

Elizabeth, well, my interpretation might be wrong, but, as you say, at least it´s a mural and also the ugly ones have to "live" soewhewree ;-)

Mae, I take that as a compliment ;-)

Just building on your interpretation!

Jackie, you made me laugh! Yes, let´s build a story!

Maybe that’s what happens when you’re below deck for a long stretch. Time to drop anchor and hit the beaches for fun in the sun. 😺

Iris Flavia said...

Oh, how I long for the sun!!!

There could be so many interpretations here Iris, perhaps only the artist will ever know the right one 😊 It certainly is thought provoking xox

I love murals, that one looks so interesting, but I should give myself more tine to interpret this the right way! Have a lovely evening ☺

Iris Flavia said...

Is there a right way? Just enjoy, I´d say - or is thst an approach too simple?

Odd comes to mind.

You could be right. Might the anchor have gone down and come back disgusted?
Interesting mural. You got us all to do some thinking. :)

Have a good week, Iris. :)
