I tell you Lynn from Sew n’ Wild Oak makes a really good pattern – what a neat quilt Country Charmer is -great cutting instructions, the block layout guide, instructions on construction, pressing instructions – this will make this RSC quilt so much easier to make 53 pieces in an 8.5 inch block and it really went together rather quickly and I only had mistake I needed to fix and I fixed it early on.
Yesterday morning started with this

Within 60 minutes or so it was this

At 11 AM or so I was done with my first green RSC20 block (making 2 of each color) the right side is even – it is just the way I took the photo I guess that makes it look so ruffled and uneven

The colors for today’s block that still needs to be cut

A Christmas color scheme was put on the back of the pattern package and I plan to make this one too

A new book arrived – I thought I knew what quilt I wanted to make in it — but then I saw the directions and all the pieces LOL – I think I might pick out a different one so I know I will complete it and it won’t become a UFO — I was thinking the cover photo! Maybe next year? I have got too many started now for this year!! I know it will not be the cover photo – although beautiful I can me starting this and making a couple blocks and get tired of it.

The Dahlia afghan slowly coming along

I finished the right corner on WB and rolled it down and this is where I started last night

I’ve had several ask me about the cutting table that has the adjustable height on it – The table that I have we got on Amazon – you get the table base and need to find a table top for it like we did – at that time Mike found the wood table top on Amazon also – I put a link to it in the photo. Once the table top is on this and attached to it securely it is very stable and can hold 132 pounds. Our top makes this a 30 x 60 inch table.
Another one that is listed on Amazon is a bit the same and has a table top on it included – I like the wood top we have but this is a good option as you do not need to search for a table top- again a link is in the photo if you wish to see the info. This table holds less at 88 pounds.

Dear Karen,
Love the green block. The Christmas one looks just as beautiful. The book cover is already inspiring, it must some amazing patterns inside. Thank you for showing the adjustable tables from Amazon.
Country Charmer is going to be a beautiful quilt. I love your first block. The colors in your afghan sure brighten the winter months!
The green block looks great. That’s going to be a lovely quilt, whether in rainbow or Christmas colors. I am plugging away at 16 5.5″ pineapple blocks, all paper pieced. It will be a while before I finish! And taking the papers out is quite messy. But they do look good when finished.
Pretty block. I need to play with some green scraps tonight so I have something to post tomorrow!
Your green block looks great! Glad you are liking the pattern so much – the design is beautiful! The Dahlia afghan is already so pretty – I bet that is a fun one to see the progress on as you add more colors. We did something similar for my sewing machine table, but bought the top and legs at Ikea several years ago. You could choose from lots of different sized table/desk tops and what legs you wanted. I didn’t think at the time about being able to raise or lower it like you can, but that would be so handy!
That quilt will be stunning! And the Christmas one too I am sure!
Beautiful, as usual.
I love your RSC green block! I purchased an Edyta Sitar book recently and had the same reaction. I love the quilts but am hesitant to try one because of all the pieces and instructions – lol! Some day . . .
The green block is beautiful! What a great pattern. I have 4 rows on my Dahlia blanket.
I really like that Country Charmer design. I love watching your yearly Rainbow challenge quilts come together.
Uh oh. I’m loving the Country Charmer but… did you notice one of your corner units is oriented differently than the others? The colors are in the right places but the rectangles are in a different place. You do like the complicated and challenging, don’t you. I’m so jealous. I’m doing one of Edyta’s Little Handfuls: Jessy. That one block is challenging enough for me.
I just love your green Country Charmer block and I love the Christmas themed layout too… how big are the blocks on this once put together?? I love WB and your progress there is quick! I bet you are enjoying your knitting as a diversion to think about which quilt will get done next too… soo much fun going on in your creative life right now 🙂 Kathi
Patches of Stars looks incredible. If anyone could do it, it would be you!:)
That is a fantastic block – but oh my gosh – to see how much it *shrinks* while sewing was so cool!
Karen precioso bloque . Me encanta las telas verdes que eliges
¡¡¡preciosas!!
Buen domingo
Hi Karen! Even after to pointed out WHERE the error was in the block, I had to study it and finally compare it to the layout you shared. Geez! Good eyes, Ruth! And how nice that she pointed it out to you. Both green fabric choices you’ve shared are lovely. ~smile~ Roseanne
I made this one a couple of years ago https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/490962796848110385/ and loved it so want to make the cover one too, I know you would make an amazing quilt with this hopefully you will find time on 2021
