Crossroads

After one and a half hours of quilting on Wednesday night – I Finished Crossroads!!

I unrolled it from the frame and took some photos of the back

And all of a sudden you see things you forgot about under the frame because rarely do I sit down there to see and remind myself – I forgot about that bag of yarn left over from early in the year!  And Yes I am reminded once again that I have two medium size plastic tubs of unsorted scraps under there

The quilt was tossed over the rail until I had time to lay it out and trim off excess fabric and batting yesterday.

Now to measure it, square up the corners, find the binding fabric that I know I set aside and get it cut and sewn on ready for a week or more of hand stitching.

While I was busy with that Mike was taking down old black roman shades in the bedroom and putting up something lighter – 2 down one more to go

Congratulations on finishing Crossroads! It looks gorgeous. Do you think it will shrink much after washing since it’s flannel? I forget… is the back flannel, too? Anyway, it’s really pretty and looks very cozy. It does feel good to finish a long-standing project, doesn’t it? But I know there are more quilts waiting in the wings! Will enjoy watching them progress.

The things we discover when we look under … I found an old UFO in a box this past week along with a pile of fabric that I forgot I had. Congratulations on a great finish! The quilt looks great and will soon have the binding on as well.

Crossroads is beautiful! Great finish. I love seeing the quilting design from the back! New window coverings are exciting, too – we haven’t done that in awhile. Makes the whole room look different, I bet!

Want to add my congratulations. Seeing the whole quilt now, its sooooo pretty. I know I’ll have to get back to at least one hand quilted quilt after the holidays. Thanks Karen. I would love to just be able to touch it.

Well done Karen. You won’t mind hand sewing on the binding now that the days are getting colder. It must be exciting to think about loading the next quilt onto your frame. Thank you for linking up to the Peacock Party.
