Morning readers,
Hope you all enjoyed a good weekend and that the slightly "IFFY" weather didn't spoil anything for you. It was blowy but sunny yesterday and my washing dried in no time!!! My hair though! - I looked like I'd been dragged through a hedge backwards all day ..... even with a liberal application of spray!
Last week I was in Sussex and visiting friends, had a great time with Jacky on Tuesday - reckon we could chat for England! I spent Wednesday with Sarn, we tried shopping but our stash haul was WOEFUL! I bought a pack of crafting foil and that was IT!!! After a reviving coffee (and 50% of a delicious almond croissant) it was back to Sarn's, to craft using her stash .... I'm sure many of you can relate to what I'm about to say. I was like a kid in a sweet shop and had EVERY intention of making a note of the product used but - frankly, I was too busy crafting!
Here's an ATC I made, I can tell you the names of the two focal images because I own them too but the rest might be a little light on details, for which I apologise, my excuse? I was having too much fun - sorry!

- ATC blank
- Snippet of 300gsm Hobbycraft smooth card (Sarn's)
- Distress Inks in broken china and barn door applied in a swipe (top to bottom in one colour and bottom to top in the other)
- StudioLight SL341 and Chapel Road "Vertical Greeting" stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink .... as you can see, I cropped the top and bottom of my focal image - see the entire image below
- Since the Distress Inks reactivate with water I used a waterbrush and added a little Distress Ink "watercolour style" to the focal image, to add a little interest
- Using a border (from Stampin' Up "timeless textures") image and Stampin' Up ink tip top taupe I stamped around the outer edge of the ATC before edging the ATC with the nocturne ink

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
- Catch The Bug - September challenge - ANYTHING GOES

And I had a glue stick foiling panel to make in to a card too ...... how very ODD that it happened to be in my favourite colour!!

My favourite colour too. This looks really rich with the purple and the gold gilding flakes. Thanks so much for sharing with us IAAS this time. We would love to see you again soon.
You obviously enjoyed your time with both Jacky and Sarn and love the results of crafty play with Sarn with this ATC with those two pretty colours and a lovely mix of stamps and a vertical sentiment which looks great, and then your beautiful card with the great contrast with the rich colour of the card and the gold foiling, and love the feather die in white for more contrast too, and the Clarity feather is a wonderful image too. x
Two great makes and love The birthday card I have that feather die,
Lilian
What a delightfully grungy ATC you have there! Love it.
Great use of the gold dot foiling and the die cut feather to make that card too.
It was great fun to craft with a pal.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
