Saturday, it's the weekend!

Morning readers,

If you stopped by my blog on Thursday you will have seen that I was away for a couple of days this past week, visiting pals, scroll down and see some pix ... my thanks to Jacky and to Sarn and Gra for their hospitality. In case you are wondering - I bought some foil - you read right, ALL I BOUGHT was some foil! And, frankly, that was so we could play with foil at Sarn's!

Hastings coastline, taken from the pier
Jacky and I, trying to shelter from the wind, and failing, dismally! Lovely to see you Jacky
Hastings pier
The K2 restaurant - it was delicious
Took the rain with me!
My makes whilst with  Sarn
Sarn - thanks for your hospitality matey
So, now I'm back and headed to the Table of Craftiness ...... to make some of my "playtime" pieces in to cards and/or ATC's - here's the first one ...

My card
And a closer view of the image/sentiment
Since one of my challenges says "FINISH THE INSIDE" .... here IS the inside!

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit
  • Snippet of grey pearlised card, to mat my stamped image
  • Background blocks grafitti texture image (by Uniko) stamped using Stampin' Up Sahara sand ink
  • Katzelkraft "Windy Day" image stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • Water coloured using Distress Inks in barn door, broken china and peeled paint
  • Given that I was using a friend's stash, when I came to finishing the card I had to try to co-ordinate with what I'd used so .......Sparkle 'n Sprinkle sentiment and umbrella image (from #425 - "Spring Swirl" ) stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne and twilight inks
  • TCP sentiment (S-5845-CL) stamped using Versafine nocturne ink on the inside (along with the umbrella) reverse of the card along with the front and back of the envelope
  • Dimensional foam tape to adhere my card front to my card

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Addicted to Stamps - challenge No. 357 - MAKE YOUR MARK
  2. Creative Knockouts - challenge No. 314 - FINISH THE INSIDE
