Saturday again - have a great weekend!

Morning readers,

Here we are at Saturday again, I hope you all have something nice planned this weekend and that the weather won't spoil any plans. It simply CAN'T be as bad as last weekend .... can it?

With all the recent rain I built up quite a creative head of steam and actually made this on August 7th but had so many other craft projects and ATC's to share it's reached the 17th before it was time (pun intended!!!) to share this one!

My monochromatic Artist Trading Coin
Materials used:
  • Snippets of card in black and white
  • Nesting Circle dies to cut my 2½" and 2¼" circles
  • Kaisercraft "script" image stamped using Memento London fog ink (owned since 2014)
  • Art Impressions skeleton clock face (J-2511) stamped using Memento grey flannel ink (which I had in 2011)
  • RubberNecker "Flying clock" image (C463) stamped using Memento London fog ink (which I had in 2011)
  • Recollections sentiment (from "time Flies") stamped using Versafine Clair nocturne ink (I can't find a pic which tells me I had it pre 2009)
  • I edged my white circle with ColorBox pink pastel ink (still can't believe the company is closing its doors)
  • Sakura white gelly roll gel pen used to doodle "the hours" on the black matting layer

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Happy Little Stampers - August ATC challenge - TIME - 2nd entry
  2. Through The Craft Room Door - August 13th challenge - ANYTHING GOES - 2nd entry
  3. Retro Rubber - challenge No. 117 - ANYTHING GOES, as long as at least one stamp is older than one year - 2nd entry
  4. QKR Stampede - challenge No. 359 - ANYTHING GOES

  RRCB 117

And now, it's time for a new challenge over at the Simply Less Is More blog so, without further ado - here's my make....

My One Layer Card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • One piece of white card, cut to fit and use as the insert only - this being a One Layer Card front
  • PRS sentiment (from the "New Day" stamp set) + Stampers Anonymous "man with brolly" (from TH-MM105) stamped using Versafine Clair morning mist ink
  • For the insert I stamped TCP sentiment (from S-5845-CL) using Versafine Clair nocturne ink
  • That's Crafty dinky raindrop stencil placed over my image and Memento Bahama blue applied using an Aldi stencil brush

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Simply Less Is More - challenge No. 402 - ONE LAYER CARD + USE STENCILS
  2. Addicted to CAS - challenge No. 166 - ONE LAYER CARD
  3. Alphabet Challenge - August 16th challenge - "K" is for KIND THOUGHTS
  4. CAS on Friday - challenge No. 162 - USE A STENCIL
  5. Krafty Chicks - challenge No. 468 - MASCULINE

I've been trying to get in to the habit of taking a daily walk and was doing quite well at dodging the showers of the past week or so. The Friday forecast was horrid from about 09:00 onward so I thought I'd best get up and out or run the risk of missing my window of opportunity. I chose my route so it would be in the shelter of trees, in case the rain started early! Pheww! As I headed down the path to the front door it started to rain! - pretty much didn't stop the rest of the day either!

I realise that I got confused when you showed your last ATCoin I went into a dream and thought that it was a card with a gold background, very silly, but I can see you have displayed your clock face ATCoin against the same piece of gold card which shows it off beautifully and I love the neutral colours Kathy. I also love your gentleman with the umbrella which is obviously a favourite of yours and no wonder as it is a super image, and I love the blue raindrops and the sentiment works well too. What a great idea to do a daily walk and looks like an interesting are to do so by your photos. I am bad, I often think about it but don't do it...lol. x

The time-card is so beautiful! And I almost used that man-image myself for the LIM-challenge, but wanted to try a new stencil.... Not fine that it is raining so much (here too), but great that you are in a good creative flow! Have a good week! Hugs, Gerrina

Fab creations Kathy but the man with the brolly in the rain is my favourite (perhaps I can relate!) That stencil is perfect to use with that stamp. Thanks for showing a pic of everything you used too - really useful for a stash builder! x
