And a closer view of the image panel and sparkly doodled border |
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope
Materials used:
- White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
- Three pieces of white card, cut to fit and mat
- Using a scrap piece of card with a square aperture cut out .... I taped it to my white card panel before applying Distress Ink in peacock feathers
- I inked my Kaisercraft crackle image using Distress Ink in salty ocean before giving a quick spritz with Krylon sealant and then removing the mask
- Tim Holtz Artistry floral image (from CSS27836 "Natures Elements") stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
- Using the peacock feathers and salty ocean inks (as well as the Kaiser image) I matched one of the larger pieces of white card to my image panel
- Using a Sakura gelly roll clear glitter gel pen I doodled a border around my inked square, carrying this doodling across the insert and envelope, it adds a layer of interest and twinkle
I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

And the co-ordinating stencilling |
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of the envelope
Materials used:
- White A2/C6, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
- Two pieces of white card cut to fit
- Grey card, cut to mat
- Snippets of card in DCWV linen effect pearl grey and grey
- Using a Dylusions circles stencil and an Aldi stencil brush, I applied Ranger Archival shadow grey through, on the insert, reverse of the card and the front and back of the envelope
- With the same stencil I burnished a Ranger glue stick through, on to the DCWV pearl grey card before removing the stencil and adding a sheet of gold foil, burnishing firmly with my finger and setting aside to dry for a few hours before removing foil and mounting on to the grey and then white card - "Glue stick foiling" technique

Thanks for the mention, Kathy; I wish I had time to blog. Schrodinger, The Malthouse Cat has to run my twitter account which leads to some interesting threads! I am enjoying working my way down your blog and smiling a lot, thanks for putting in all the effort.
Such elegant cards, love making cards without a sentiment, I do it a lot for my own stash, this way I can add the sentiment when I decide who the card is going to. Thanks for playing with us at Retro Rubber. Claire DT
OMG - I have never heard of this glue stick technique! Now I’m going to have to research and give it a try - I love the shiny texture it creates and my imagination is already on overdrive with ideas on how to use it! Thanks so much for joining us at A Place to Start Challenge BLog!

I have heard about glue stick foiling but I have never tried it, your entry has me intrigued. You did a great job of choosing a design and colors that hold interest in spite of the absence of the sentiment. Nicely done!
