it's my turn to choose the challenge and I'm saying, "Look Up, Way up" which means that I want to see anything that can be up in the sky. So think birds, planes, balloons, butterflies, bugs, celestial bodies, fairies, clouds etc. etc. etc. Lots of things to choose from!
When I decided on this challenge as a theme I knew I had to go with this title. I think there's got to be more than a few on my Canadian peeps out there who will know that it's in homage to The Friendly Giant. For those of you not in the know, The Friendly Giant was a staple of Canadian children's television that aired for almost 30 years from the '50s to the '80s. It was a sweet 15 minute program that featured a giant (obviously) and his two puppet friends, a giraffe named Jerome and a rooster named Rusty. At the beginning of the show The Friendly Giant would always say, "Look up, look waaaaay up" because, naturally, you'd have to look high in the sky to see a giant in his castle. It was a really sweet show.
Now I'm really wishing I used a giant on my card. But, alas, I went with this instead....
....I guess I could say, while it's a angel not a giant, it is really sweet. It's from Bugaboo Stamps and the sentiment is from Create With TLC.
Well, I guess there's not much more to say than that. I'll close the big front doors and pull up the drawbridge after you're gone. Goodbye. Goodbye. :)
Why not give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up? And, while you're there, be sure to check out the fantastic projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Oh my goodness Jan, I'm checking out all of the entries in our latest Path of Positivity challenge and as soon as I saw, your second paragraph I was thrown into the past! I grew up watching the Friendly Giant and simply adored that show. How funny to be reminded about it after all these years. So of course, I then had to check your profile to see where you're from. ;) It is nice to meet a fellow Ontarian out here in blogland! I'm currently up north in Sudbury but grew up in southern Ontario.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining us for our Happiness challenge over on the Path of Positivity. I hope we'll see you again soon. Good luck in the draw!
