So back in January, I went to Phoenix to run a half marathon with my best bud from Spokane. It was an amazing kids-free weekend - I fell asleep by the pool. Numerous times! And no one drowned!
While we were out browsing shops, as one can do without kids and husbands along, she spotted this tea towel (Primitives by Kathy) and we both quite enjoyed the sentiment. So I bought it, interfaced it, put a border on it, and voila! An 18” couch pillow to go with her Best of the PacNW quilt.
The quilting is just straight line diamond cross hatching on my regular machine - I didn’t have a big enough bit of backing to get it on the longarm. And more straight lines in the border.
The border and backing are leftover from her quilt, with the selvage cut off back then. And envelope style, because I’m still afraid of zippers. But the back is so busy you can’t tell!
And now it rests on the couch with the other member of my Mom Gang!
