I used Corn Husk Doll, from MelJen's Designs for this card... My card is very basic layers in it's construction. The Corn husk doll has been created from layers of the same image... coloured with Promarker Aqua Marker, and a waterpen.
I have used the whole image on the white base (which has been chalked, and embroidered with French Knots), and then it has been 'dressed' in layers of it's skirt and apron, oh and bonnet. The three layers have been trimmed with scalloped lace. I have added brown threads to bind at her wrists and neck (as the image is!). Before fixing the matted image to the cardbase, I added a border of the whole lace previously trimmed, and it has been embellished with chocolate pearls, and wee stitches in the scallops.
I'm entering this creation into these challenges....
